Loaned Executive

Definition: Individuals "Loaned" full-time to United Way of Palm Beach County for a period of up to twelve weeks during the annual campaign who are trained and function as an extension of the Resource Development staff in all aspects of the campaign and community impact. Loaned Executives are sponsored by companies, when the company donates toward the program as an alternative to providing a Loaned Executive.

Purpose of Position: To coordinate, administer and conduct employee campaigns. The Loaned Executive solicits leadership and corporate contributions to increase resources to help people in need throughout Palm Beach County.

Areas of Responsibilities:

• Review and update information on assigned accounts,
• Assist in the development of strategies for improving employee and corporate contributions.
• Support United Way staff in setting up meetings with employee campaign coordinators (ECC's) in the workplace.
• Work closely with ECC's during their employee campaign to:

1. set goals for the company based on their potential
2. schedule and present "United Way" at employee meetings
3. "close" all presentations by asking employees to invest in their community
4. monitor the progress of each campaign as conducted
5. complete all appropriate forms, documentation, and analysis to ensure that the campaign is completed and recorded accurately

• Delivers materials required for employee campaigns.
• Provide recognition to assigned accounts in the following manner:

1. thank appropriate management for the company's commitment
2. recognize and thank the internal campaign committee
3. complete awards information for each assigned account
4. guarantee that all leadership givers are identified for United Way

• Report progress and/or problems throughout the Campaign as they arise.
• Participate in Campaign staff meetings and full staff meetings.
• Offer ideas and suggestions that will increase contributions.
• Offer ideas and suggestions that will enhance the Loaned Executive Program.
• Able to facilitate presentations to share the United Way story.
